Welcome Back to the blog! Today we will be discussing how fletcher and Jojo have completely missed the mark!

Let’s get into it…

First things first, this a complete safe space for every member of the LGBTQIA community. and no bi-phobia slander will ever happen here!

Fletcher and jojo have been in the queer news lately for seemingly overnight falling inlove with men and trying to force it down their fandoms throats.

Jojo siwa just came off big brother UK 2025, where she stirred UP controversy for cheating on her partner with contestant Chris Hughes. When jojo entered the house she identified as a lesbian and was in a relationship with a woman. She’s also built her entire adult platform off being a lesbian. So that came as a shock to viewers, as she was literally exploring a relationship with a man on national television, while her partner and the world watched.

She then came off the show dating Hughes and broke up with the girlfriend. And is now going by her full name and claiming shes never been this happy and herself in a long time .

And let’s get this straight, sexuality is fluid and you can definitely change your preferences over time. That’s completely normal. And you can definitely over time go from being a lesbian to a bi -sexual and vice versa. But it was the WAY it was done and how little care seemed to be thrown the way for her then partner. How embarrassing it must’ve been to see jojo cuddling and flirting with this man on tv. The girlfriend didn’t deserve that and that’s the conversation that needs to be had. Not hating on jojo for possibly being bi, but for cheating on her partner and acting like it was totally okay what she did.

Fletcher on the other hand has never to my knowledge claimed to be a lesbian but more so “queer”. But she also made her entire platform around dating only women and all of her music talked about the issues and joys of falling inlove with women. Only for her to rebrand and erase everything that seems to point to her ever being queer. And now is dating a man, going by her real name, and had merch dedicated to said rebrand of her liking men! Which WE don’t care about, but it’s the acting like dating men is so scary and new , and something to be scared to come out about! I don’t even listen to her music. and found her cringe and hard to get into anyways.

And all of this is happening during pride month and while the current administration is trying so hard to destroy the lgtbqia community. So it seems both women are falling to the conservative agenda rather quickly . And it also poses the narrative that lesbians just need to “find the right man”. Which is never the case if you’re a lesbian and just prefer WOMEN .

This is becoming a common thing within the lesbian space , as MANY lesbian influencers are now rebranding and “finding God”, and becoming straight. It’s a scary time in the world and I don’t judge anyone for running back into the closet , especially when we have a president who’s hell bent on making sure we don’t exist!

But I and many others don’t believe this is the way at all. We can’t fall to social norms and conservatives. We have to stay true to ourselves no matter how hard and show we are real and still here! No right man is gonna make us straight! And these celebrities and influencers don’t speak for the majority. That’s their personal journey that they need to work out. But I do wish they would STOP using lesbians for clout to get there! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being bi-sexual! And I wish people would just admit that and go about it the right way. Claiming bi-phobia, whenever someone try’s to express how they’re disappointed in how their favorite gay celebrities are moving is wrong and makes it into something it’s not. and makes it harder to hold them accountable!

I know we LOVE to see representation in the media and arts, but maybe this is a sign we need to stop putting so much power and hold on these people . That way when and IF they change , we won’t be shocked or disappointed!

You are absolutely valid and allowed to grow and explore different sexuality’s. But do it on your time and do it where it doesn’t affect anyone else! And be truthful !
