Welcome Back to the blog! Today we will be discussing the turmoil inside the carat fandoms , these last few months! Let’s get into it…

Since Seventeen announced they’d be having one last comeback and going on tour, all hell has consistently hit the fan. For one, we found out jeonghan would be enlisting and NOT a part of the world tour. And Jun would also be absent due to acting in China. While fans understood jeonghan obligations, they quickly turned on Jun and started treating him horribly. No matter how much the other members fully supported him and kept his name in conversations positively, some carats didn’t care. I always see how some foreign members get treated the worst in their groups and unfortunately seventeen is not exempt from that. The way he was treated , you’d think he was leaving the group or had a scandal. But no he just wanted time to take away and focus on another passion of his, and had the Full support of his band mates, just not his fans. Which is incredibly sad given how sweet and unproblematic Jun is. He even made it a point to come back a few times and be with the members for fan meetings and was very publicly ignored by some fans.

Now with woozi, I believe fans are upset that he had Dj Khalid on the new single ,love money fame, which given the circumstances surrounding a lot of famous artists in America right now, I get it. But it’s also not that deep or big of deal, see how all dj Khalid says in his songs is his name and nothing more. He does make a short appearance in the video, but nothing to drastic. I get it COULD be bad press being tied to him, but he has yet to be publicly accused or proven guilty on anything. So we have to take that with a grain of salt and keep moving. I also know the boys saw this is a great opportunity to break into the American market even more , proven with them also making an English version of this song. Woozi literally produces and writes a great majority of seventeen songs, and considering how large their discography is, I think he deserves some grace and a break! He works so hard and besides being in seventeen, minds his business and stays under the radar! He does not deserve to have all this hate and negativity thrown his way for one single and to have people completely disrespecting his hard work! Carats are becoming so ungrateful and are starting to cross the line a bit. I think this year in general has been such a roller coaster for kpop and so much has happened.

It’s important to remember your favorite idol is a human being and words hurt! No matter how strong and confident they seem, you never really know what someone is going through or what might finally break them down. Seventeen , so far and through my research, are one of the least problematic groups we have. They truly love what they do and love us carats so much. Let’s not push them to the point where they want nothing to do with us ,because all we’re doing is complaining and lecturing them about something!

W should consider ourselves lucky we even got this many comebacks before they all start to enlist! And be forever grateful to Woozi, for trying his best and always doing his best, jun as well.
