Let’s get into it……

If I’ve learned anything recently about myself , it’s to NOT quickly pass judgement on movies/music/shows before giving them an honest chance . Many times In the past , I’ve HATED something to my core. Just to later end up actually loving it. It happened with kpop , then certain groups. I’m always a hater first, then I become a LOVER.

I knew at first Listen Gnarly was not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, it wasn’t mine. But I also got the vision and where they were going with it. And it quickly grew on me within the first few hours it was released.

The amount of HATE these girls got for this single for just 24 hours was insane. Naming it the “worst song ever”, was quite the stretch when I’ve heard worst from certain boy groups! And to say the lyrics were trash, when there’s tons of kpop songs I can name where the lyrics don’t make sense at all, But the song is a total hit. So it boils down to girl groups getting that unfair treatment, having to have perfect songs with deep meanings. All while the boys just get to dance around and be good looking and sing nonsense.

Fast forward to the next day when the Korean live performances start coming out, and now everyone is starting to love Gnarly. And like clockwork everyone is becoming a fan. I knew it would happen and that’s why I feel like people shouldn’t jump on the hate trains until they’ve given songs a chance.

The girls absolutely didn’t deserve the hate they were getting , when they said it would be different and such a a fun camp song! And they were right, it is fun, camp, nonsense and satire! And dare I say… it’s one of my favorite releases this year!

I think everyone owes the girls a huge apology, especially the ones who HATED the song, but now LOVE IT!
