Welcome Back to the blog ! Today we will be reviewing Seventeens newest sub unit comprised of leader Scoups and visual Mingyu.

Let’s get into it…

I knew when this unit was announced exactly the type of vibes and music they would put out ! And it would totally be super hot guys singing fun summer/party music. And that’s what we got with CxM.

The songs are collectively a very fun time and I found myself surprisingly enjoying it. But to be honest , out of all the sub unit albums, this one is falling to be my least favorite. I think the boys did a great job and had such a a fun promo run. But I’m failing to connect with most of the songs .

And after learning Mingyu went to the agency and asked to have a solo debut and they suggested this unit instead , it makes me look at the unit through a different lens. And it seems like they forced this unit together. and because they’ve been in a group so long , and they genuinely like each other. It just happens to work so well. and good thing , because out of all the members , I don’t see this type of unit working with anyone else !

Over all I give Hype Vibes 4/5. Is it my favorite debut? No , not at all. Is it still fun to listen to and will be perfect for vacations/ summer? Oh absolutely, and with that being said , maybe this is a great successful Sub unit after all.
