Yogurt Shake vs Carrot Cake

After Nct Dreams newest album, my head has been swimming with so many comparisons between now and older albums. One comparison that immediately popped into my head was that Carrot Cake reminded me so much of Yogurt Shake. And it made me wonder which one I loved more?! Let’s get into it…
Yogurt Shake was literally one of the two first Nct dream songs I heard and instantly it became a favorite! It has such a fun R&B and youthful vibe to it. And the boys always seem to enjoy performing it! It’s a fandom favorite and it details the fun of falling in-love or having a crush and how it’s hard to explain how you may be feeling. With so many mixed emotions, Definitely in my top 10 favorite Dreamie songs.Carrot Cake is one of their newest b sides and it’s not about love. But more materialistic in the sense of it literally being about shiny accessories or could even be about a crush . haechan even says “ Whole jewelry store for you on my hand”. It’s a fun old school hip hop and R&B vibe to it. And it’s my favorite b side of ()scape! Totally giving early 2000s vibes and I’m here for it! Renjun sounds incredible in this song, made me fall in love with his voice so much more!

I’m just obsessed with every bit of this song, I can’t help but dance as soon as the beat comes in. I love the beginning with mark, haechan in the hook, triple j with their deep voices in the pre chorus, and of course renjun in the second verse. They HAVE to film a video for this song!! I can’t wait to see this song performed live.
