After nearly 4 years Lisa is back with another hot single and new label! Let’s get into it!!

Black pinks all rounder and main rapper Lisa is back with another banger and this time Under a brand new label. You can definitely tell she’s left Yg, the entire vibe around this new comeback is different and feels so much more authentic.

Lisa has always given confidence and talent , but just from these promo pictures alone you can see and feel how much she’s grown and come into herself completely as an artist . The jump from lalisa to Rockstar is massive, and we’re are loving it!

I was super excited when Lisa first dropped the promo pictures because I just knew it was gonna be epic. Rockstar is all about Lisa being the main talented character that she is and letting the world know she knows she’s in fact that GIRL.

Overall I give the song 4/5 only because I wanted more from the verses and lyrics. But she might be on to something, because this song has not left my head since it dropped and I’m constantly walking around singing “ I’m a rockstar , baby I’m a rockstar”.

I give the video 5/5, LOVED that she once again paid tribute to her homeland Thailand. Loved that she featured so many different people of Thailand, even featuring trans women! Loved the choreography, especially the last bit when she’s in the silver outfit doing her solo choreography. And she looks so tan, rich , and amazing! Dare I say this is my favorite Lisa solo…. EVER.

Favorite line from the song

“ Lisa can you teach me Japanese.. I said hai hai.” which is a line to show everyone that she’s multilingual and in fact THAT GIRL.

Or

“It’s not hype baby , make you rock hard.” I love when female artists let the world know how confident and amazing THEY know they are! Specially because of how male driven the world is and how addicted everyone is to knocking down a confident WOMEN OF COLOR.

I ALSO loved how she sampled tame impala, I’m not a real or huge fan of the group but I do love this song. And how many artists tend to sample them. In my opinion it just makes the song 100% better!!

This song is just overall a hit from start to finish. Yes the lyrics aren’t the strongest , but not every hit single needs to have the most serious diverse lyrics. Some of the most popular songs in the world are fun repetitive songs. I know there’s a huge split down the middle of people who love the song and it’s even had non blinks starting to get interested in black pink and Lisa. And people who hate the song, but those people simply just don’t get it.

I’m so excited to see what else she has in store for her new era, because if this is just the start, we are in for a RIDE.
