Welcome back to the Blog! Today we will be discussing Jennie’s brand new track, ZEN. Let’s get into it!

I will admit, when mantra came out, I was a little let down. I knew Jennie could do MORE and better than that, and I was nervous that’s the direction she was going in. And becoming way too westernized in the process.

But she’s proved me wrong once again and has delivered an absolute banger! And honestly Zen should have been released first!

Visually the video is absolutely STUNNING. Like I quite literally have NEVER seen anything like this in my life. It’s such a beautiful video and so unique. And definitely one of my favorite videos of her solo era already!

The song itself is 10/10, and I internally screamed !! I knew Jennie could bring a hit out of her and this is exactly the type of single I wanted for her! It’s just as unique as the video and that beat is insanely outrageous! It shouldn’t work and it totally does, and I can’t see anyone else pulling this off BUT Miss JENNIE KIM!

I definitely prefer this single drop over mantra and I’m so excited for her album now! She definitely shut me up and proved me wrong! And this is why she’s Koreas IT GIRL.
