Welcome Back To AsToldByShanise! As melanated march sadly comes to an end, I still have a few more posts to pump out!

Today we will be talking about some of the shows I grew up on, and that are staple tv shows that you would watch growing up in a black household.

Let’s get to it….

Sitcoms back in the 90s and early 2000s had motile diverse Black lead shows! It’s sad to see over the years how the number of all black lead sitcoms have died down and we’ve been shifted to mostly black channels . It’s even crazier to sit back and watch it happen in real time . But to my knowledge the shows that are on black channels are highly successful and have many seasons . So even though it suck’s we have to continue to make our own lanes and STAY there, maybe for now it’s better that way. But it definitely shouldn’t stay that way, there is more than enough room for EVERYONE to succeed. And I’ll never stop preaching that or pushing that agenda !

Everyone , ESPECIALLY BLACK artists ,deserves a seat at the table !!

We are literally the Backbone of all media !!
