The cuties Weeekly are back with their new summer single: HOLIDAY PARTY. From the teasers I didn’t think I was gonna honestly like it and was a little worried they would fall flat after their major successful hit with after school,( SUCH A BOP STILL).
I was pleasantly surprised with how much I ended up liking it and it’s very catchy. The whole feel and the aesthetics of the video is very cute and wholesome and honestly I think its GREAT, they’re doing something different than the usual dark concept that’s been happening alot this comeback season. I like that their label is not over sexualizing them and they actually look their age.
I give Holiday Party 5/5, it’s fun ,cute, and catchy. And I’m dying to see a dance rehearsal for the choreo. My favorite part of the song is the hook and Mondays vocals completely eat that UP. I’m starting to have a new appreciation for Miss Monday.
Although very much present in the video and image promo, miss jiyoon is absent from performances and holiday party press. She’s taken some time off for mental health related issues and I hope she has a safe and fast recovery. But to take all the rest she needs, these idols are under so much stress and pressure and I can only imagine how hard it is for them. She is truly missed though.
