Jihyo Zone Review

By :Shanise Lachelle

Nearly two months after its release and I’m FINALLY ready to talk about my ult bias and favorite girl in the world new solo album , ZONE. Let’s get into it…..

As usual with my some of my favorite artists it takes some time for me to sit down and listen to a new album in it’s entirety. Regular life and all, but I’ve finally listened and I’m so impressed!

Now before you get all offended, because as jihyo is probably one of the most professional and talented female idols on the planet! I’m not talking about impressed in the sense I didn’t think she would release anything bad. But impressed with the actual songs and the production.

Killing Me Good was fun and it was very jihyo coded. And of course a solid debut for her. But I wanted MORE and I knew she could very well produce more and BETTER. And I was proven right when I heard ZONE.

This album does such a great job at showcasing what we already know as fans, she’s super talented and has a wide vocal range. But while showcasing her talents to new fans and the world outside of K-pop.

Wishing on you is an amazing example of her vocal abilities and it is somewhat reminiscent of Ariana Grande type vocals . It just goes to show there’s so much jihyo can do and we’ve yet to see it all.

Overall I loved the flow of this album and how each song just got better and better. Jihyo truly doesn’t get enough credit for not only her beauty, but her true dedication to being a idol! But how much she truly loves her job.

This album is just the tip of the iceberg that is her talent, and I can’t wait to see where we go with her on her future solo journeys!

I give Zone 5/5, completely amazing and blew me away!
