Another day, another Nct sub unit post . I can’t believe I’ve been living under a rock for the last 4 years and refused to give Nct a chance. I was truly being a hater from outside the club, at the back of the line. And the thing is I’ve been craving more R&B type kpop songs , and boom here comes Nct with multiple sub units and many upon many R&B and hiphop influenced singles. To say I’ve been in heaven is an understatement.

Today will be talking about the sub unit of Dojaejung and their single Perfume.

This is definitely for the grown up neos and is very much Nct on their grown man status. The one thing I LOVE about SM entertainment and probably the ONLY thing. Is how they let the artists make adult music when they are legit adults and they don’t seem to force their idols to grow up too fast.

Perfume is so sexy and mature , and instantly gets stuck in your head. That opening harmony is absolutely NUTS!! This unit of vocalists totally makes sense to me and scratches that deep part of my brain. Their voices are completely different from each others but blends together so good it actually doesn’t make any sense. This is the type of single I could have heard back in the middle 2000s. It’s perfect for spring and summer days. It’s just such a great single, and whoever’s ideas it was to put these 3 together, deserves a raise … maybe. After all it’s still SM.

The fact that they made a bop about perfume and how addictive the smell of a person can be , is actually very smart. When you fall for someone , you often become accustomed and obsessed with their smell. This song is sexy but also very romantic as well. I actually couldn’t see any other group pulling this song off as well as Dojaejung!

10/10s all across the boards! The vocals, the choreography, the visuals! Everything was executed perfectly and everyone delivered !

I can’t wait for them to come back and give us MORE!!!!
