Since getting into kpop in 2020, I’ve collectively fallen into such a deep hole. I would have never thought in a million years I could look at certain groups and pick out my favorite vocalists, dancers and centers. And yet here we are nearly 4 years later and I could make post upon detailed post about all of my different favorite things about my favorite kpop idols. But today I will spare you and only be talking about my favorite MALE dancers. ( Female Dancer List coming so soon don’t you worry).

1.

This very talented boy starting popping up on my fyp way back in 2023, possibly even 2022. And I was so captivated by his stage presence and how smoothly he danced! He had so much charisma with it , I was obsessed. Later came to find out he’s the ace of SM and NCT, and wondered why he wasn’t MORE famous and MORE talked about in terms of talent but more importantly HIS DANCE SKILLS. This boys footwork is almost immaculate and he’s only 23. Can you imagine how well formed his skill will be once he hits his 30s?!??! He’s so much fun to watch, you can tell he loves it!

2.

This man right here needs zero introduction, as he’s coined the prince of SM and the idols idol! There’s not a 3rd-5th gen idol, especially male idol out right now that doesn’t fan over and talk about how much they love taemin. He just that good, He’s of course an all rounder and can do it all. But is mostly known for pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and dance. Most notably one of his most famous songs was Move and that was all because of the choreography. A lot of his choreography is also hard to recreate, and any time an idol CAN attempt to recreate it, they get major praise. Taemin is just that dude, he’s such a beautiful dancer. And it doesn’t matter what dance style you give him, he adapts fully and makes it his own. I love watching him dance so much , because I know we are in for a treat.

Come on now, I wasn’t gonna make the is list and leave the ults of ults out! He’s not a natural /trained dancer from youth , like the rest of his coworkers on this list. but he indeed is a great dancer. When I first got into Bts I thought he would be one of the main dancers. And was shocked to see him as only one of the main vocalists. He is a part of the dance line though, which I can appreciate. Because even though he had to learn how to dance and went to America at a young age to train to become the dancer he is today. You would never know, he looks like he’s been dancing all his life. He dances with such passion and love, And moves so easily. If I hadn’t known him because of BTS, he would be on this list solely because STANDING NEXT TO YOUS choreography and how intense it was! And how when he did TikTok challenges, you see could see the other idols barely keeping up. But he did it with such ease every-time. He truly deserves more praise for his dancing skills.

Besties with 3 of the other idols on this list and it’s no wonder, he’s extremely gifted in DANCE. Watching ten dance is like falling in love for the first time, I’m utterly obsessed with the way he moves his body and it’s almost like liquid. He moves so effortlessly it’s almost unfair. Because you already have such a beautiful voice and stunning face to match AND you’re an incredible dancer?! Come on now, god was just showing out when he made you! Want an example? Just watch his video for his single Birthday. I was literally left speechless after watching it. He’s amazing, the end!

5.

As a trained dancer, I would expect nothing less of perfection when it comes to jimin. And we get it every single time, much like his bestie Taemin, they can adapt to any dance style you give them! And absolutely devour it. He trained as a contemporary dancer and when entering Bts struggled with the HIPHop style dancing . And was kicked out several times. But kept on practicing and working hard . And that pushed him to become the dancer he is today. Love him for everything he is, but mostly his fluidity when it comes to dancing . Even shocks his members when he dances , that’s just how good he is.

6.

Kai trained as a ballerina before entering exo and you can definitely tell. His slim and tall figure makes it easy for him to glide across the stage. And also eat up every exo choreography. He’s definitely a stand out in exo and in the kpop world. And is so missed right now while he’s doing his military duties. not only was ROVER of my favorite solo comebacks from him but I absolutely adored the choreography as well.

7.

Last but definitely not least, probably one of my most favorite people, idols , and dancers on this planet! Mr. Hoshi himself, is without a doubt the most extraordinary dancer I’ve ever seen. His technique and his ability to pick up dances so well , pushed him to also be the leader of seventeens performance team. He also helps choreograph some of their dance routines. He performs full out with 200% every single performance and he never lets up! He also just looks like he’s having so much fun on stage and that makes you love him even more. He’s also one of the few idols that can do other idols dance challenges and kill it every time. I just love me some Hoshi!! You’ll never catch him slipping.

Woo, we did it! We got through my very detailed and long list of favorite K-pop dancers. I know I missed a lot of very popular dancers, and it’s not because I don’t think they’re great. They’re just personally not my favorite.
