GGum Review

By: Shanise Lachelle

Happy Monday, we’re coming to you bright and early and ,(off a lack of sleep), to bring you Txt’s Yeonjun first solo track GGum. Let’s get into it!!

First things first, I totally expected yeonjun to be the first txt member to have a solo. He just has that charisma and is totally the It boy of 4th gen. he also trained for so long he became something of a hybe legend.

GGum is quirky, fun, and fast paced. Before you know it , it’s over and you’re left trying to process what you’ve just watched! GGum totally fits yeonjun vibe and it absolutely smashes it out of the park! I don’t get the hate he’s receiving at all. It all feels forced to be honest, because this comeback is fun and totally giving me old school kpop vibes! It might be the neo in me, but I love a good experimental track! I love when kpop artists or artists in general do something completely different and it lands!

I think we’ve gotten so used to the same boring recycled formula with members of boy groups and their solos, that when they try something different, people complain and hate it. it definitely takes some getting used to, but once it does , it stays in your head on repeat!

I Love GGUM. And give it 5/5, the looks, the aesthetics and the choreography alone is superb! People just don’t know what they’re missing.

Well done YEONJUN, we see the vision, we get you and GGUM is stellar!
