HAPPY NEW YEARS!! And welcome back to the blog! Today and in total Shanise fashion, we will be naming some of our favorite films of 2024! I didn’t go to the movies a lot last year, but once the movies hit demand, I was all over it!

Let’s get into it…..

The only NON horror film on the list, and it’s only because it’s THAT good. I’ve missed musicals on the big screen and LOVE what they did with Wicked. Ariana and Cynthia are astounding as Glinda and Elphaba! Even more obsessed with the soundtrack and can’t Wait for part 2!

Was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved this movie ! It’s totally camp and won’t be for everyone, but the people that get it, will ADORE IT! Genuinely a sleeper hit for me, went in blind and came out a fan!

Another sleeper hit for me! Was not expecting this film to be as good or as entertaining as it was ! Genuinely took me for so many turns and spins and I never knew where we were gonna end up! great vampire film to add to the list of favorites!

Never been a fan of the Alien franchise, and honestly only like the newer films that have come out of the last 5-10 years. But this film tops the list and honestly made me a fan! Loved it from beginning to end and it got straight to the point! Those last 30 minutes, are some of the best filmmaking I’ve seen in years!

Liked the first film but I am OBSESSED with this one! Loved every detail about this film! From the depths of the characters, to the fully fleshed out plot and even how we tied up the ending of the first film! Nothing was left open and honestly I think we should just end it after this movie! Let’s not ruin a good thing by keeping it going for money sake’s.

This year definitely topped last year In terms of creativity and films being fun to watch again! I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for cinema!
