Spider-Man: far from home🕷🕸

So I saw Spider-Man far from home last week and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Don’t get me wrong I’m a HUGE marvel whore. And I generally get excited about anything they produce. But I’ve just had a hard time getting into the 3rd spiderman. We had Toby McGuire who I LOVED. Then I fell inlove with Andrew Garfield and got used to him being Spider-Man. Then BAM they recast him after only two HIT films. So I’m honestly just getting around to loving Tom Holland as Spider-Man and dare I say it(HES THE BEST SPIDERMAN🤷🏾‍♀️). He’s the only actor out of all 3 that’s the closest to actual Peter Parker’s age and it seems real to me. Like Tom actually looks like an adorable science nerd who could also be a superhero. I believe it more when it’s coming from Tom. I hadn’t seen Spider-Man homecoming until a year after it was released. And was so happy when I found out iron man was in it and that made me like it even more. I also liked how he was introduced in captain America and then went on to be in the last two avengers. Getting the fans used to Tom and making us fall inlove with him even more. But back to the review. This film started off VERY slow. So slow I was a little worried I was gonna hate it. But it picked up and when it did that’s when the show really started! Jake gyllenhall was a standout to me!and possibly the best part (besides tom obviously)!! We all knew he was the villain but still we all sat there and got pulled in by those big blue eyes and charming personality and thought we could trust him. He was a brilliant villain. Overall it was a solid 8/10 for me. It started off too slow for my tastes. But I would definitely see it again. And Tom Holland is the best SPIDERMAN EVER. (Please don’t recast him and do ANOTHER SPIDER-MAN. I’m tired).

It vs it🤡

Celebrating the upcoming release of IT:chapter 2 and because I’m SO EXCITED,Here’s a question that’s been on mind since the remake in 2017. What’s the general public’s favorite? It the original or the remake?! Mines is the remake 100%. Even though the original scared me as a child and made me afraid of clowns, the remake blew it out of the water! So which is it…. original or remake?

It chapter:2

“I died and you lied”-George

Please tell me why George always gets the best one-liners?! Anywho we’re back in gear and on our way to derry once again to defeat pennywise🤡. This being a remake and there being a whole BOOK out, there’s not too many new surprises for hardcore it fans. But newcomers might be wondering, (whose bloody hands ) and (why is Richie crying and who is he holding)?! To answer all your burning questions…. I won’t 🤷🏾‍♀️. If you haven’t seen the first version or read the books or had a sneaky peek at tumblr then it’s best you wait until September 6. But let’s just say have your tissues ready . It’s gonna kill you…. literally. We all know the premise, the losers head back to Derry to finish it off once and for all ! But before pennywise tortures and murders a lot of people( losers included). Part 2 promises to be much darker and WAY scarier and MUCH BLOODIER. Part 1 was from a child’s perspective and what a child would find horrifying. Part 2 is aimed at what grownups find scary and terrifying. So buckle in you’re gonna be in for a wild ride and I can’t wait🤡🎈. And just in time for Halloween 2019. Were all gonna float🎈

Charlie’s Angels

I’ve watched the new trailer 6224 million times and I’m speechless. After hearing about this reboot or remake a year or two back, I was like ehh no Hollywood. Let’s leave this one alone shall we. We have enough reboots and enough Charlie’s angels. But once again eating my own words as the trailer promises a fun film full of girl power and action. Girls being tough and strong and smart! We Stan 🔈🔈. Also let’s talk about how much Daddy vibes Kristen Stewart is giving off because that Alone is enough of a reason to watch and support this film. Go check it out. Being gay is truly making her a better artist. ( I said what I said)

Aladdin review

I saw Aladdin last night and wow. At first like everyone I was on the fence about this one. Not even the because of the casting but because I just wasn’t sure of this at all. At times Hollywood has a tendency to white wash middle eastern stories and films. And guy Richie is the director so I was a little like ehhh. This is could potentially be a disaster. But wow was I wrong . They actually casted culturally accurate actors. There were a few white actors but mostly actors or COLOR! Mena and Naomi were AMAZING!!!! Everyone’s praising Naomi and rightly so because she really made princess jasmine SHINE. But Mena was every bit of the 90s Aladdin and it made my heart full of childhood nostalgia. He was brilliant and I can’t wait to see what else he has lined up! The new musical scores for prince Ali and a whole new world were beautifully done and still kept the original essence. Will smith brought his own twang to the genie. And I actually liked what he did with the character! He didn’t try and outdo robins genie and he didn’t copy . He paid respect and did it his way. And it actually worked out pretty well. Over all I give it B+. Some parts to me were a bit over acted and some parts were a bit choppy. But the acting and musical numbers saved this movie. The musical numbers were so colorful and larger than life. Go see Aladdin and experience the childhood nostalgia we’ve all been dying for.

Naomi Scott Aladdin press tour

I’m super super SUPER excited to see the new live action Aladdin this weekend! I’ll be doing a full review later on this week. But for now let’s talk about how AMAZING Naomi has looked during this press tour. I mean I was backing my girl up when casting news came out . I’ve known she was talented since lemonade month on Disney Chanel. And hello she was the pink ranger in 2017. Here she is looking breathtaking all through this press tour. I’m so ready to see more middle eastern and woc taking over HOLLYWOOD.

After part 2 is coming!!

The after fandom did it’s job by making AFTER the highest selling indie film of 2019 so far . Almost hitting the 70 million mark worldwide. That’s amazing for such a smaller film. But not surprising because the fandom generated billions of reads for the books. The author Ana even came out to say it will be rated R(YESS) and she wrote the script this time around!!!!! I’m so excited. Even more so that she got rid of the old team and heard the cries from the after fans. We in there, were gonna get OUR movie guys. For real this time. AWC era has begun.
