Welcome Back to the blog and Happy Saturday! Today we will be discussing Lisa’s solo era and if she’s actually succeeding.

I feel personally Lisa is definitely one of the most popular BlackPink members, just based off her incredible work ethic and stage performance! And She’s an incredible dancer ! but of course within a group where ALL the members are on different levels and aren’t consistent , she’s gonna stand out! Together as a four piece , they are somewhat well balanced and are a strong girl group. But separately, it’s becoming very clear who the strong idols are.

When Lisa released Rockstar this past summer, we are were super excited and I loved that solo drop! And I felt like we were going in a great direction. With her next two drops being fun and catchy, what’s becoming clear is she’s having a tough time transitioning from Korean idol pop star to western pop star!

Idols are known to often lip sing and not really put a lot of care into their vocals when performing live. It’s all about the looks and stage performance. But on this side of the pond we want it all. And Lisa just hasn’t found her footing yet. Every live performance we see of her , she’s barely singing but performing super well over all. Or trying to sing and still dance , and it’s not sounding super clear .

I think alot of issues people have with Lisa is, she’s been an idol for so long, she should be comfortable singing live by now and be better at it! And if she thought she could break America with these lack luster vocals and make up for it by dancing well, she’s sadly mistaken.

Because she’s a BlackPink favorite, people are always waiting to see what’s she’s gonna do, and because she’s such an amazing performer, people are being let down by her American performances .

I don’t think she’s having a “flop era”. But I do think if she keeps showing up to these big American televised events and performing half way, people are gonna move on and be over her really quickly . You have to be able to do more than dance and be pretty to have the kind of star status she’s trying to achieve.

If she would just focus more on her vocals and put the same effort into them as she does her dancing, she would be a hit !

I love the BlackPink girls and I’m always rooting for them to succeed. hopefully Lisa sees the criticism and learns from it ! I think she can really do it and she’s almost there!
