Halloween and Friday The 13th are two of the biggest and longest running horror franchises. These are horror movies that have been running since the 80s . And have endured many upon many remakes. So which franchise has the better remake? Let’s get into…

In 2009/2007 both Halloween and Friday The 13 got two big remakes! And as a horror fan I remember being so excited back then to see what they would do with the films.

The body count in this film was ridiculously good. The film starts off super strong and continues on throughout the movie. This remake was decent, it kept to the original plot and just rejuvenated it a bit more. Jason also is running in this film, which if you’ve seen any of the older films , his whole creepy persona was the fact they he literally walked and still got the victims. So I don’t like the change to him now full on running after people . Because of course you won’t be able to escape or outrun him. I give this remake 4/5, it was very entertaining but just wanted MORE I suppose.

Now this Halloween remake by Rob Zombie was AMAZING. We got a clear story of Michael Myers background and what made him the monster he is today. That was my favorite part of the entire movie. I always wondered what his deal was and how could he turn into this killing machine . And this film did a great job detailing his childhood and the audience literally gets to see a killer be born from the ground up! Everything was good in this film, the acting, the pacing, the storyline! Every bit of this remake was great.

Overall this remake was solid and way better than Friday The 13 in my opinion.
