Favorite Female Kpop Soloists

By :Shanise Lachelle

Happy Friday, it’s been the longest week of my life and I’m so happy it’s finally the weekend and I can RELAX and sleep in! ( it’s only gonna last until 8 am, but as I usually wake up at 5, a win is a win.)

Today we will be talking about my favorite female kpop soloists. Now I’m not MASSIVELY into these next few ladies, but when I think female soloists in terms of kpop or k-R&B ,these are the first few that pop into my mind. And they also share a few of my favorite songs between them. So let’s get into it…

Chung ha – back in 2021 , the peak of covid and kpop, I found Chung ha and became obsessed. Bicycle was literally one of my favorite songs of that year and it made me instantly love her. She’s had some recent troubles with her old label and had to start all over with a new one. But I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her and to get into her new solo music! She’s so charismatic And absolutely adorable !!
Hwasa- literally found her music as well back in 2021 and fell inLOVE. She’s another idol that left her label to sign with a new one and she seems so happy lately ! TWIT was literally on repeat for a YEAR. This is my girl!!!! she just oozes confidence and total grown woman vibes which is so different than what kpop women usually are! It just comes so naturally to her! She’s also a normal sized idol and advocates for it! And I love her even more for it!
Sunmi- literally only know 3 of her songs but that’s all I needed to hear to become a fan! She’s definitely on my list of idols with music I need to get more familiar with!
Whee in– another member of the super talented girl group MAMAMOO, her bandmate is also Hwasa! When she released her first solo album, I listened to it out of curiosity and it literally became one of my most Listened to albums!! I had every single song on repeat for weeks! Absolutely love her voice!

I absolutely adore these ladies and even if I haven’t been keeping up with their work, I know they’re absolutely killing it! Who’s YOUR favorite K-pop female Soloist? Let me know in the comments below …

And as always friends… until next time!
