Welcome Back to the Blog! Today we will be discussing one of our most anticipated horrors of 2025, Final Destination: Bloodlines!
Let’s get into it…

First things first,10/10 amazing follow up for the famous franchise! It held up the final destination honor and gore!! And it’s 100% now in my top 4 final destination ranking. It was seriously so good, I’m thinking about rewatching it even though I just finished it!
The story with Iris and having a vision of her date night going horribly wrong. The vision place of death: the famous needle in Seattle . I’ve never wanted to actually go on the needle for my fear of extreme heights and now I fear I’ll never go any where near it. We then flash forward to our lead girl Stefani, who we learn is Iris granddaughter. She is now being plagued by similar feelings and visions and is running out of time to save her family.
The entire plot and how this film wraps up the entire franchise is AMAZING. I was kind of eh about another final destination . Because how many different absurd ways could you possibly die by. But this film actually brings it back to reality a bit while also still being super outrageous! The way Iris saved people from the needle disaster and that all those families later died in the previous final destinations was genius!!! I loved all the little call backs to the previous films , with the train,( final destination 1 and 3). The log truck,(final destination 2), and red car(final destination 1).

Seeing Tony Todd in his state and knowing this was the last film he did before he passed away made me sob, before he even finished his monologue. I think it was so beautiful and fitting to have him appear one last time. And to be the little black boy Iris saved in the beginning. His last speech to Stefani about living life to the fullest , made me sob and touched my heart so deeply. I’m glad he got to do this, and I know many horror and final destination fans were so happy to see him.
The acting was very good and super believable. Sometimes in horror, I have a hard time believing these characters and their relationships. Which then makes me feel nothing when they later die. But my heart broke for this entire family. Especially the aunt literally loosing her entire family within days of each other. They would literally have to lock me up in a padded cell, I would go crazy.
*SPOILERS *
The ending made me so mad, the family had gone through so much and I was so happy we got two survivors. Just for that train to go rouge and kill Stefani and Charlie. And now their poor dad will suffer , because he too has lost his entire family. but he also was not a believer, so now his whole world is rocked.

I haven’t seen Kaitlyn Juana in anything before and she absolutely delivers as Stefani! She acts as if her life depends on it and it literally does in the film. She’s a strong lead and an even almost strong final girl! I don’t think this film would have been as effective it wasn’t for her carrying this film on her back. And she had an entire film of strong leads and she still stood out to me.
Favorite Deaths
The Garbage Truck: that was diabolical and I had no idea they actually crush the trash together! crazy way to go out !
The Piercing Death: this scene stressed me out for a ton of reasons. But partly because he was adopted and I didn’t see him dying coming until it did . And it was brutal as hell.
Saddest Deaths
Peanut allergy little brother: literally thought he was gonna choke to death just to get his head smashed in. Very sad because him being so little bother coded and actually so sweet was so endearing.
Mom/ Darlene: she was just trying her best and trying to make amends, and got a double whammy.
Over all I LOVED this movie and it’s definitely one of my favorites of the year! I cried, I laughed and I was shook to my core! Reminded me why we love these ridiculous movies so much. And I can’t wait to rewatch it over and over!
