Shinees SuperStar came out last year right before taemin enlisted, but I never really gave it a fair listen until recently.
It’s literally just been playing in my head over and over, and before I knew it , it’s become one of my favorite shinee songs.
It’s fun, catchy and uplifting. And totally shinee. Since getting into shinee I’ve noticed they have a particular sound, only they can pull off. I could NEVER imagine exo or BTS singing superstar and it working. But with SHINee it works .
Shinee only seem to be getting better with age honestly. I know some kpop idols retire out of the idol image and grow up. But SHINee is respectfully growing older with Grace and so is their music.
They’re not idol boys but idol men and their music reflects that growth. I can see shinee well into their 40s still going hard with the Best of them. Even if the choreo doesn’t go as hard, I know they’ll always put out that shinee music that makes us all feel something magical. SUUUUUPERSTAR. And to think they gave us this fun banger before taemin left. I love shinee for that.
