Favorite Vampire Diaries Villains

By: Shanise Lachelle

Welcome back to the blog! We are entering our very last week of October and spooky season ! I’m so sad and it’s gone by too fast. But as I’m a part time horror blogger, it’ll ALWAYS be spooky time over here!! Today we will be discussing my favorite Vampire Diaries Villains and ranking them in order from the Most Savage to the less impressive.

( This was a Very hard list to put together and I feel at times , everyone on this list can be switched around.)

1.

The Mikaelsons – the original family were absolute menaces and terrorized Mystic Falls on and off for about 5 seasons. Which is insane when you consider the show had 8 seasons . towards the end , they became allies and often helped Stefan , Damon, and Caroline . And they really couldn’t die. Besides a white oak stake, they were unbeatable!

2.

Kai Parker- literally one of the best tv villains of the 2000s!!! He was absolutely insane, charismatic, and at times hilarious. He causes A LOT OF ISSUES. But he was so cute and charming, you almost forget he’s a psychopath.

3.

Sybil- we were introduced to her in the last season and honestly it just wasn’t enough ! She was so incredibly powerful , they had her locked up behind a steel door for ages! I feel like we missed the mark with this one and sirens should have been introduced into the show way before the final season.

4.

Qestsiyah – was that girl simply because she came back to kill her ex and make it everyone’s problem! To hold a grudge that long and execute a plan AND have it go exactly as you wanted?! She definitely got the last laugh. She was insanely bitter and powerful! And had every right to feel the way she did. Definitely wanted to see her wrath for more than a couple episodes. She’s also responsible for the immortality spell I believe and creating the other side.

6.

Silas- and that brings us to our last favorite villain ! Qetisiyahs ex Silas, He definitely stirred the pot and had our boy at the bottom of the lake for MONTHS. Until the gang FINALLY realized he wasn’t Stefan. He had great deadpan humor and was so much fun to watch ! Especially the dynamic between him and Qetisiyah. Watching them go back and forth was comedic GOLD.

I’ve been rewatching the vampire diaries For a few months now and I never realized how much I enjoyed the show of course. But also how much of my opinions have changed on certain characters.

But if there was one thing this show did right, it was give us incredibly complex villains. Most of them were evil just for the fact, but a lot of them had tragic backstory’s and reasons why they were the way they were.

Sometimes that middle ground isn’t so black and white, and you see yourself siding with the villain. And that just proves they are so incredibly well written.
