Happy Saturday, and Welcome back to the blog! All march long i will be continuing to celebrate the cultural excellence of black art in the media!

Today i will be highlighting some of the most popular black romance movies that I grew up with . And in no particular order, these films were just on repeat in my household, and in a lot of other black households as well!

Let get into it….

Just to name a few, black love is not always depicted honestly or in a healthy way . Especially if it’s white writers and white directors trying to sell a love story through what they think is black love . It’s not always struggle love and baby daddies . Black love is founded on shared values and a deeper understanding of each other! And is rooted in the love of our shared culture experiences.

I hope going into the future of film, we are able to see more black love joy ! I want more wholesome and happy ending . Let’s leave the cliches in the past!!
