Welcome Back to AsToldByShanise! Today we will be talking all about , Lemonade! Aespa’s newest summer smash album, let’s dive into it !

I’ve yet to NOT enjoy an AESPA comeback, honestly . I’ve enjoyed every single one since their debut ! Now have I enjoyed more over others? Absolutely, but I’ve loved them all the same . Each album reminds me of a different time period of my life .

To go from Savage to Lemonade, the growth is very evident! The girls have become young and established musicians. With now years of training and success under their belts . It shows in their stage presence, which has hugely grown over the years . And even in terms of vocals , with the girls all being all rounders, you can definitely tell Karina and Giselle have stepped up as well in terms of vocals . Making Aespa the 4th gen girl group to beat. They just have it, and if they continue on this path, they will continue to grow even bigger. That is if their label (SM), doesn’t sabotage them.

Hearing WDA AND LEMONADE, you just knew the album was going to be full of hit after hit . Camouflage, My plan, and Switchblade just to name a few, are absolute bangers . We even have some unexpected features, Ty Dolla $ign, Becky G , and the idol’s favorite, G-dragon. It’s clear the girls went into the studio with a vision and wanted to make a fun but well executed album!

If promoted wisely, this could be the album to really make them pop off in America. But SM needs to seize the moment while it’s hot, and not let it die off. They can’t just rely on them being kpop idols to do all the work. Especially because kpop is slowly loosing it’s spark it held so strongly during covid and even pre-covid .

The entire album is girl power positive and makes you feel ready for summer! I can’t wait to have this album on repeat and to see them live in September!

I give Lemonade 5/5, as if I could ever rate an Aespa album low.
