Welcome Back to AsToldByShanise! And today we will be reviewing the brand new video for Aespa’s SwitchBlade !

Let’s get into it…..

First things first , 10/10 music video!! I was so shocked but equally excited to finally see a video for one of my favorite b sides!! I didn’t expect we’d get anymore videos from this comeback , especially since we are now in their Kiss n Tell era.

Switchblade ft . Ty Dolla $ign is such a fun and experimental single. If you get it you’ll LOVE it and if you don’t, you’ll unfortunately hate it. It’s not for everyone and even the first time I heard it I was a little confused . It’s definitely very neo vibes coded and would have been an amazing collaboration with their label partners, NCT. I love that he slides on the song when the beat changes and adds to the song and doesn’t take away from it. A lot of the times when these kpop groups feature an American artist, it doesn’t flow well and ruins the vibe of the song. But Ty Dolla $IGN fit right in and made the song even more fun! I also love how he personally flew to Korea and didn’t just do a green screen feature .

The girls look AMAZING as usual and I love how they keep pushing the boundaries on their music videos . The budget is ALWAYS there and they’re always so creative . Truly no girl group is touching Aespa when it comes to consistent aesthetics and concepts. And they always look like they’re having so much fun !
