Welcome Back to the Blog! And Happy HumpDay, it’s almost Friday!! Today we will be discussing the new films I’ve seen recently!
Let’s get into it….

I watched Brick back over the summer and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a foreign suspense horror from Netflix. And those can either be really good and entertaining for me or really bad . This film landed in the middle. Loved the entire concept, but it fell so flat that I paused the movie and finished it another day. The film is about a couple who in the midst of a breakup, wake up and find they have been bricked into their apartment. And with no way out . That alone intrigued me but also gave me major anxiety while watching. Wasn’t a a fan of the ending . 3/5

When I saw that they were remaking Superman for the thousandth time, I literally rolled my eyes. I’m not against reboots or remakes. But the Dc universe just can’t seem to find their footing for more than two movies before they scrap the entire thing and start over. So I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to this film, until I saw all the hype around it on social media. Then of course I became interested. David Corenswet is such a believable and honestly charming Superman. I found myself upset when he was frustrated and happy when he was giddy. He’s very much the sweet farm boy type of Superman and it gave me flash backs to Smallville Superman. I LOVED the movie and I will be purchasing to rewatch over and over. Full review coming soon. 5/5

Honestly did not see the appeal for this movie when it came out back in may, but once again I was proven wrong! Marvel knows exactly how to play the whole anti -hero plot. We got depth , character backgrounds, and mental health awareness. This movie is a lot of fun, but it goes a lot deeper and is incredibly sad. Full review coming soon . 5/5

From seeing the trailers I was so excited for this movie. I loved the whole concept of a cursed toy monkey killing people. But when I finally sat down and watched The Monkey, I was not expecting what I got. It was more comedy/horror. And I’m still not sure how I felt about this film. The acting was great and the gore was superb! The kills were absolutely insane and I never knew when they were coming. It gave me final destination vibes for sure. It was definitely more gory than I thought it would be. Theo James stars and plays twins, and he’s such a great actor. I wish we’d seen him in more projects. The ending was absolutely crazy. 4/5
I’ve been on a roll this year with watching new films and trying different types of movies. Instead of just rewatching my favorites. Which movie have you seen on this list and did you like any of them? Let me know in the comments down below!
