Welcome Back to the blog and happy almost Friday!! Today we will be reviewing Perrie’s debut solo album!
Let’s get into it….

I’ve been waiting on Perrie’s solo since it was announced that Little Mix would be going on hiatus ! I’ve always loved Perrie’s vocal tone and her entire happy go lucky aura. So I just knew she would pull it out of the bag.
Over the course of last year, she started to tease her solo with first lead single FORGET ABOUT US.

Written by Ed Sheeran and it was a great kick off to solo Perrie and what we would be getting. It was also her first solo number one!! After that she kind of lost her footing and after she released Tears, I kind of got nervous. I didn’t really vibe with Tears at all. It wasn’t a bad song , just wasn’t what I was expecting or necessarily wanted from her solo era.
She then went on to release You Go Your Own way and a couple of mixed singles. Once again, NONE of them were bad, just kind of filler songs. I started to get nervous her album wasn’t going to be good and Not do well.
She then took some time, went back to drawing board and now we have a fully fledged album! And it’s absolutely cohesive and fits Perrie to a T.
It’s just what I wanted from Perrie, we got a few powerful ballads, some cute fun songs and a few romantic ones as well.

Perrie really SHINES on ballads, and some of her best moments of the album come from those singles.
. Bonnie and Clyde
.Goodbye My Friend
.Same Place , Different View
.MISS YOU
Overall I give the album 4/5, it’s nearly perfect in my eyes and such a solid debut effort for Perrie! I feel now that she’s found her lane and her tone, the next album will go more smoothly and be less stressful for her as well!
Congratulations Perrie!!! Mixers are so proud of you!
THANKS FOR READING!!
