When this picture for her latest album “ Man’s Best Friend” was released, she got a lot of hate for it . I got the tongue and cheek , she was definitely going for. However the angry and ultra liberal feminists of the world did NOT get it. Since Sabrina has stepped on the scene and has had her entire brand redone, I knew she would be subjected to some hate.

I’ve known about Sabrina and her talent since her Disney channel days! We were first introduced to her by Way of the reboot of boy meets world , generating the spinoff of , Girl Meets World . She was the spunky sidekick to Rowan Blanchards character. But it wasn’t until she started releasing music that caught my interest, and I knew she would be the next big deal.

In my opinion her single , Nonsense, was the song that got people paying attention to her . Especially the end of the song where she changed up the outro for every performance. Making it new, fun, sensual, and quirky . Sabrina was literally like 4-5 albums in when she got espresso and it changed her life completely. fast forward to now and she’s one of Genzs biggest pop girlies ! She’s without a doubt super talented and that might not always be shown in her single choices and her current music . But the girl has the pipes, and can definitely hold her own along side , Ariana Grande , and Demi lovato .

The issue that she’s now facing is, people, mostly women , don’t know how to take her . She claims to be a feminist, but most of her songs are about men and sex. she can’t possibly be a feminist if all she cares about is men. Which is not a true statement at all. If you really listened to any of her music at all, she talks about being crazy about men but also hating that she’s attracted to them. She constantly calls them out on their BS in her songs and she makes a lot of her music videos including them not having a happy ending . She’s well aware that a lot of men are trash and she hates the fact that she’s still attracted to them. But the heart wants what it wants and she’s a lover girl. I also think the public can’t handle a beautiful petite blonde girl being so sexually confident. They want to put her in a box and have her be this virginal Disney princess. And that’s just not her . I’m happy she’s staying true to who she is and trying to break down those stereotypes about sexuality. You can very well be a feminist and still unfortunately be attracted to men. It’s just how you go about it . She’s not giving up her career or friends for a man, she’s still living her life and being successful as well.

I think we can all take notes from Sabrina . She’s showing that , staying true to yourself and what you believe will get you far! And there are many different ways to be a feminist. and if you hate men with a passion, you’re not a Feminist but a misandrist. And that being proud in your sexuality doesn’t affect the kind of person you are .
