Happy Monday And welcome back to the Blog! Today we will discussing my first reaction to Aespa’s newest single , WDA(whole different animal).

Aespa’s last comeback was hit or miss with fans. They were okay with Dirty Work but felt like the ball was dropped with Rich Man. I however liked both, but they weren’t my favorite Aespa comebacks and they weren’t strongest obviously. But it looks like we are back on track with WDA.

The beat is absolutely ridiculous and super catchy. The video is a mixture or AI weirdness and green screen fierceness. the girls looks incredible as usual. And they have really grown into themselves beautifully.

WDA is basically a self loving anthem, declaring you’re in your own lane and you keep leveling up. I loved the entire concept and the song ! My girls are back and better than ever!

My only complaint is the G dragon feature. He’s catching a lot of flack for his ignorant use of racism in fashion . And it’s just poor timing him being on their song. I know idols adore him and they probably thought this was a huge honor, but it’s honestly the WORST timing. And honestly his feature doesn’t really add much. I’d much preferred we had an epic bridge full of vocals from Ning and winter !

Overall the song and video is 10/10 for me. One of my personal favorites, and this comeback is sure to put them BACK on the map after RICH MAN.
