There’s been lots of debate on K-pop social media about who the Rookie of the year award should go to and in my humble opinion, I really believe NEW JEANS should have it and here’s why!
There’s not been a girl group since Aespa debuted to make this much noise and have this much Attention, (see what I did there). Since Hybe secretly dropped Attention it’s only been up for the girls!
All 4 of their singles are BOPS, and played continuously throughout TikTok. The 3 most played being , Cookie, Attention , and Hype Boy!
I’ve constantly seen so many people do their challenges and use their songs! They literally became over night sensations, I haven’t seen that happen with a group in a WHILE in such a short period of time!! Their songs are even popping off outside of the K-pop world, that’s how I know they’re on their way to being Huge Stars.
That’s why I believe they should get rookie of the year, granted they just debuted this month, but they’ve already generated so much buzz and have the absolute star potential. And they’re starting to perform more and show different sides to them as well.
NEW JEANS WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT SHOULD BE ROOKIES OF 2022! They deserve it.
