Welcome Back To AsToldByShanise! Today I will be rating my personal favorite Evil Dead final girls , in order from most favorite to least favorite.

1.

Recovering drug addict who’s just lost her mom , and then ends up losing everyone else she’s ever loved in ONE NIGHT?! Honestly she’s one of the strongest final girls ever in horror! On top of being possessed and loosing an arm, Mia truly holds it down. And is one of the most badass final girls to ever grace our screens! I bet she never touches drugs again !! I felt for her as she knew something was wrong and no one believed her at first . and as the night continued, it became a lost battle .

Having this entire movie be set in a tiny apartment, was honestly genius. And added to the claustrophobic of it all. The amount of chaos that was caused in those rooms, was crazy to watch . Beth like Mia , looses half of her family in one night . And it’s devastating to watch as she tries to fight for her life and protect her niece. She didn’t loose any limbs , but that cheese grater to the leg , didn’t look like a walk in the park either ! that last fight battle in the parking garage was honestly top tier ! Beth really is that GIRL AND the best auntie that ever lived .

Much like her evil dead, she was the weaker of the 3. And it took her way too long to LOCK IN! I was frustrated at the slow pace of her defending herself , against the deadites AND that horrible family . She was clearly dealing with trauma and a horrible Marriage. So that’s a lot to unpack while trying to fight off evil. I will say at the end , she FINALLY did get it together and showed why she was an amazing final girl.

All in all, these 3 fearless bad ass women step up to the plate when needed. Under such horrible circumstances and conditions, they are relatable in different ways. They show how complex women can actually be , when written well. But also none of the 3 had some male savior come and rescue them! I love strong women in horror and it’s something we need to see more of immediately.
