Welcome Back To AsToldByShanise! Today we will be ranking the latest evil dead films in my personal ranking of most favorite to least !

Let’s get into it …..

1.

Of course we are starting off strong with the 2013 reboot of THE EVIL DEAD. It’s the only one of the reboot franchise that closely follows the formula of the original Evil Dead Film. I remember watching this a year or so later and being absolutely terrified. But equally impressed and wanting more . It had been a while since I’d watch a horror that left me so scared and intrigued. Mia was that girl !!!

I’m even amazed myself that I’m ranking this much higher than the second . But technically it’s right on par with the 2013 reboot and it’s very much chaotic and intense . The deadites in this film were not playing around at all and it was BRUTAL. Possibly more brutal than the 2013 version. they did a lot with the abandoned house and all the rooms. And the camera work was one of my favorite things out of all 3!

Sadly she was dethroned by Evil Dead Burn. But this evil dead is in a league all its own. I still find the hallway deadite scene absolutely disgusting and chaotic . And in my opinion it was worse than the cheese grater scene ! Ellie is my number one favorite deadite ever ! She was absolutely stunning and so scary. And she said one of my favorite lines ever , “MOMMYS WITH THE MAGGOTS NOW”. I found myself more sad for this family and how quickly they fell to the book of the dead and its craziness. They had a small apartment and a dream, and made the madness of the evil dead universe work wonders !

Every time a new film is released I have to sit and rewatch them all again and rank them accordingly. We have a new evil dead coming out, Called Evil Dead Wrath! And we shall be expecting it to hit theaters in 2028. That film is expected to go back in time and I believe it will be set in the 70s. I’m VERY excited to see what this film will look like and very excited to meet a brand new cast!
