Welcome back to AsToldByShanise! Today we will be reviewing the new horror film; PASSENGER!

Let’s get into it…

Passenger follows newly engaged couple, Tyler and Maddie, as they embark on living out their dreams in a van. When one night they witness a car crash, which may just not be an ordinary car accident.

Off rip, before we are even introduced to the couple, we meet two young adult men who are our opening kills and start off the movie. As someone who’s a year old driver and gets the creeps from driving long roads at night, it got to me a little bit. And it was a solid horror movie opening. However the rest of the film fell super flat for me.

I knew going into this film, it wasn’t going to be much. Based on the trailers I wasn’t very impressed. But I was shocked it got a rated R rating , as I fell asleep watching it and it wasn’t that scary or gory .

I found this movie extremely boring and felt like so much more could have been done with it. The build up and the demon stalking them, was pretty lackluster. And the ONLY part I enjoyed was the end. But even the final act felt like it was missing a lot . I give this film overall 2/5. I love the originality of the plot and the fresh faces we got to see in the film. But overall it was pretty boring and tame . And with a rated R rating they should have done so much more .

This isn’t a film I would recommend or rewatch! But I have to admit, it would be good to have on in the background during a Halloween party . and it’s a film I would recommend to new horror watchers!
